RSP: How did you meet?
Chuck and Stephanie went to the same high school. He was three years ahead of her. They knew each other but didn’t spend any quality time together. Fast forward 20 years…Stephanie returns home for her high school reunion to visit friends in town. Being from such a small community, she saws “we all knew people three years ahead of us and behind us due to playing sports together. One of my classmates played football with Chuck and also had an older brother who was friends with him. It was the older brother who told Chuck to come out to the bar that night. I went to the bar with a friend and said hello to everyone there. Chuck was standing in the corner and looked very handsome. I approached him, not sure if I remembered his name correctly. We continued to have a long, easy and wonderful conversation. He asked for my phone number, and we went to dinner…then drinks at a romantic spot that wove through mangroves to a private spot that overlooked the water. That is where we had our first kiss.” Stephanie had to leave soon thereafter for a travel assignment in Boston. However, she says they visited each other every month for nine months. “It did not take long for me to realize what an amazing man he was.”
RSP: What was your favorite moment(s) from your wedding day?
Stephanie: All of it! It was so special…being surrounded by the people we love.
RSP: What advice would you offer to other couples who are planning a wedding?
Keep it simple and hire wedding vendors you can trust. That way, you can enjoy the process with less stress. Have a timeline. You, Fallon and Bonnie were so wonderful that I did not micromanage like I can be known to do! Keep it simple and about you. It is more special that way.
RSP: How was your experience working with Rodney Smith Photography?
You and your sister were just wonderful. You had amazing ideas and were so humble to listen to mine. We appreciated you wanting to Skype with us at the beginning to better have a conversation about expectations. No one else did that. You were wonderful about keeping up emails until we arrived in NC [from Florida]. You were also flexible in having a payment plan for us.
You then took time out of your day to come to where the wedding would be and meet with the planner, Fallon, to ask very good questions. You were patient with us; we were a small group but crazy none-the-less! You were so kind in not punching the clock with timing…that meant so much to us. You were amazing at helping plan the wedding album. I was originally not going to do anything special but changed my mind. After many emails, you were up front with the add-on charges for things and patient when I changed my mind. We now have a wedding album that is just beautiful…We have enjoyed our experience with you so much that we plan to use you for family pictures when we vacation in North Carolina in the future.
RSP: I love to hear about vendors you love. Feel free to share your experiences.
I was lucky to find you online. All the rest was done through Grandfather Golf and Country Club. They were amazing.
