Grandfather Mountain Wedding, McRae Meadows, Linville, NC
Considering having your wedding on Grandfather Mountain? Cody & Tasha were married at the beautiful McRae Meadows on Grandfather Mountain in Linville, NC. The autumn colors of October were beautiful and the fog added a bit of magic to the images. If you are unfamiliar with McRae Meadows, this is where the annual Grandfather Mountain Highland Games are held each summer in July.
A horse-drawn carriage first brought the bridesmaids who took their places in the ceremony. Attendees watched as the carriage then brought Tasha around the meadow. The gorgeous flowers on the arbor perfectly framed the carriage in the distance. Her father helped her step down and then walked her down the aisle.
I am very familiar with the area around Grandfather Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I worked at Grandfather Mountain for 9 seasons while I was in undergraduate and graduate school at Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!)
